Course profile

The OET (Occupational English Test) is accepted by both the UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and the General Medical Council (GMC) as evidence of your ability to communicate effectively and practise safely in English. CSL’s OET Preparation programmes meet the needs of healthcare professionals in the UK who require a B grade in listening, reading, writing and speaking. By taking a CSL OET course, you will feel more confident when you take the exam and be able to do your best as a result.

• Increase your OET score in reading, writing, listening and speaking
• Provide fit-for-purpose language development which reflects authentic workplace communication
• Be better prepared and feel more confident on your exam day

Levels available

• OET 1 Week: has already achieved a minimum of 7.0 in each component (reading, writing, listening, speaking) in different IELTS tests or no lower than 6.5 in one or two components
• OET 2 Weeks: has already achieved a 6.0 or 6.5 in each component of the IELTS exam (but not a 7.0) OR has an overall 6.5 but has one component no lower than a 5.5

Class timetable (25 hours per week)

Monday - Thursday (Morning) 9.15 - 13.15 (Including breaks)
Monday -Thursday (Afternoon) 14.15 - 16.30 (Including breaks)
Friday (Morning) 9.15 - 12.30 (Including breaks)
Friday (Afternoon) Private study


Students are expected to do one hour of homework every day
