Academic research and study plus academic speaking orientation programme to help you to adjust to UK university study

Do you want and need to understand how to study effectively at a UK university? We can help. 

We aim to improve improve your research and study skills plus develop your academic speaking and presentation skills

Aims of the course

  • Research skills: how to find good sources for your assignments
  • Study Skills: how to make the most of your time at university in the UK
  • Presentations: how to make effective oral presentations on your own and in small groups
  • Conversation Club: how to feel more confident speaking on a range of academic-related topics with your peers

Levels available

  • Suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students who have reached the language level required to begin university-level studies

Course times and dates

  • Six-week course 
  • Two x two-hour classes per week (4 hours per week in total)
  • Late afternoon/early evening classes to avoid clashes with university classes
  • Contact us for start dates 


Students are expected to do one hour of homework after each class

Public Holidays 2019 (school is closed) There are no lessons on Saturdays or Sundays
